چکیده

In this paper, a systematic approach is presented for more relaxed stability analysis conditions and fuzzy controller design for Takagi-Sugeno systems in the form of LMIs. This approach is based on the idea of non-quadratic Lyapunov function and one assumption. In this paper, the upper bounds of the time derivative of membership functions are considered as LMI variables which lead to more relaxed stability analysis conditions and wider stability region. Several numeric examples and comparisons illustrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

Non-quadratic local stabilization for continuous-time Takagi-Sugeno models

This paper is concerned with non-quadratic stabilization of continuous-time Takagi-Sugeno (TS) models. The well-known problem of handling time-derivatives of membership functions (MFs) as to obtain conditions in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) is overcome by reducing global goals to the estimation of a region of attraction. Instead of parallel distributed compensation (PDC), a non...

A New High-order Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Model Based on Deformed Linear Models

Amongst possible choices for identifying complicated processes for prediction, simulation, and approximation applications, high-order Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy models are fitting tools. Although they can construct models with rather high complexity, they are not as interpretable as first-order TS fuzzy models. In this paper, we first propose to use Deformed Linear Models (DLMs) in consequence pa...

A New Fuzzy Lyapunov Approach to Non-Quadratic Stabilization of Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Models

In this paper, new non-quadratic stability conditions are derived based on the parallel distributed compensation scheme to stabilize Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems. We use a non-quadratic Lyapunov function as a fuzzy mixture of multiple quadratic Lyapunov functions. The quadratic Lyapunov functions share the same membership functions with the T-S fuzzy model. The stability conditions we prop...

A New Relaxed Stability Condition for Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Control Systems Using Quadratic Fuzzy Lyapunov Functions and Staircase Membership Functions

This paper presents a new relaxed stability condition for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy control systems. Using quadratic fuzzy Lyapunov functions (QFLFs), the stability of closed-loop control system is guaranteed by the negative definiteness of several fuzzy summations. However, since the membership functions are continuous, the negative definiteness of these fuzzy summations implies an infinite nu...

Nonquadratic stabilization of continuous-time systems in the Takagi-Sugeno form

This paper presents a relaxed scheme for controller synthesis of continuous-time systems in the Takagi-Sugeno form, based on non-quadratic Lyapunov functions and a non-PDC control law. The relaxations here provided allow state and input dependence of the membership functions’ derivatives, as well as independence on initial conditions when input constraints are needed. Moreover, the controller s...
